The Age Managers will select the athletes for each event via consultation with myself 1 week prior to the EMR competition. Selection criteria will be based on attendance at training sessions, contribution to teams and also individual ability. Our club’s mantra and goal is to encourage participation and reward effort rather than focus solely on results.

Training sessions in the lead up to this competition will be held on the following days and times:

5-5:45pm              Wed 7th Nov     Kooyong (Righetti Oval) Prior to Saturday comp

8-9am                    Sat 10th Nov       Kooyong (Righetti Oval) Prior to Saturday comp

8-9am                   Sun 11th Nov      Boxhill Athletics Track (Hagenauer Reserve)

5-5:45pm             Wed 14th Nov     Kooyong (Righetti Oval) Prior to twilight comp

Some age managers might be organising other training times to fit with their teams extra-curricular schedules. Please consult with your child’s age manager directly.

As previously mentioned, the rules and requirements for this event are more strict than Box Hill and will be run under LAVIC guidelines. I’ve attached a list of all the new changes that have been introduced this year as well as the LAVIC Rules handbook that outlines all the details of marshalling and running a relays event. These rules will mainly apply to the U9 age groups and up.

All athletes must have their names on the team spreadsheet to be included or considered for a team event.

Please ensure that your child is on this list otherwise email me with the details so that I can add them or their friends from their age group.

All members must also have paid their relay registration fee before the EMR event. Not required if you have already purchased a season pass already. Please note that U6-U8 athletes only need to pay for the Box Hill fee once which covers for Box Hill and EMR. The link for the payment registration is HERE

Our club president Nerel Ezra will look after the team on the day of the competition.
